"Today is the same as yesterday was like tomorrow will be..."

     The sociopolitical climate here is kinda fucked up right now. There appears to be some underlying feelings by some Americans that, in my opinion, are bigoted. Few, if any, are admitting that. It is my belief that if you're going to appear racist then you should be willing to either own up to it or provide some compelling rational as to why you are not... The comparisons of President Obama to Hitler, the flat -out lies and spreading of mis-information about proposed policy, the superficial comments about the First Lady's appearance... these are tactics of fearful, weak people with no basis in reality, and with nothing constructive or intelligent to offer.

     We Americans are lucky to have lived through the dangerous mess that was the Bush administration. There were many times in those eight years that I felt we were doomed as a free nation. Our rights were being ripped out of our hands by neo-conservative greed and hatred. We can now move on and recover. This administration will not perform as we all would like, but it's a welcome change and we should give it a chance.
