"Today is the same as yesterday was like tomorrow will be..."

I have been alive nearly four decades and haven't figured it out yet. I suppose you can say making music and art are my hobbies, as I don't earn any money from these pursuits. My personal reward is much greater than can be measured in dollars. I put these hobbies here for all to see and hear, to enjoy or hate, to excite or bore...

My interest in things artistic and creative spans my whole life, from building things with blocks and Legos to digital imaging and web design. My art education went no further than high school, and most of what I know I discovered myself through exploration of whichever medium. My artwork these days is mostly confined to the digital realm, with occasional bursts in other directions. Ultimately I create for my own pleasure, but I put a sampling of my work here to share with everyone.

Please take some time to check out the aRTS page, with examples dating back to the early 1980s. Leave me a comment if you'd like...

One of my fondest memories from childhood was when I received my first transistor radio as a gift. That meant I could explore music on my own, without the influence of others, to determine what was and was not pleasant. This led to an interest in learning to play an instrument, a way of connecting more solidly with music. My choice, at a young age, was the cello. There was something quite pure about that sound, and even back then I recognized it for it's melancholy voice (although I was unsure how to describe that).
